How we do things differently
Reports grounded in real building knowledge
We bring structural engineering experience to every inspection. You get findings that stay practical and relevant to the building in front of you.
Standards that keep the process clear
Our RPSA membership means we work to recognised inspection and reporting requirements. You get a report with structure, consistency, and a professional basis.
Focused advice without the extras
We do not blur the job with valuations or reinstatement figures. Fast Calc Ltd keeps the attention on conditions, defects, and what they could mean for you.
Clear surveys before you commit
Buying property can feel like a gamble if you cannot see what is hiding behind the plaster, under the floor, or up in the roof space. We carry out short reports and condition surveys in Portsmouth and across the UK to give you a clearer picture before you buy, let, or take on repair work. Our domestic work covers Level 1 homebuyer condition reports, Level 2 and 3 homebuyer and building surveys, checks for new builds, buy-to-let surveys, and reports on specific structural defects.
Fast Calc Ltd has been assisting clients since 1996. We prioritise clear communication, using plain language instead of confusing jargon, especially when it comes to issues like cracked walls, signs of movement, or poor workmanship that may impact your budget long after you receive the keys. Please note that we do not conduct valuations or provide reinstatement costs; instead, we focus solely on the building's condition and the defects you need to understand.

Domestic and commercial insight that stays practical
Our commercial surveys cover pre-purchase building surveys, photographic condition surveys, schedules of condition surveys, and dilapidation survey claims for service by solicitors. We also carry out timber and dampness surveys through our CSRT-qualified expertise linked to the Property Care Association. This is useful when a warehouse, office, or rented unit shows signs of moisture, decay, or damage that need to be recorded properly.
Our surveyors are full members of the Residential Property Surveyors Association, and our reports comply with Survey Inspection and Reporting Standards Ed1 v5.2. This means you will receive a structured report that enables you to make informed decisions with confidence. If you'd like to discuss your requirements, contact our team to arrange a survey or request further advice.
